(ĐN)- The 9th Vinh Cuu district open cycling tournament entitled “Returning to War Zone D” took place in the district early on April 24.
The event attracted 153 cyclists from 14 clubs across the province, competing in three categories for amateur, professional and elderly racers.

As a result, Ninh Phung Hiep from Thanh Phu commune in Vinh Cuu district came first in the competition for amateurs. Mean while, Trang Van Dung from Vinh Cuu’s Thanh Phu cycling club, went first in the category for elderly racers, and Le Quoc Huy, who is also from Thong Nhat district’s Gia Kiem cycling club, ranked first in the professionals’ competition.

The annual race was held by the district’s People Committee under the sponsorship of Dong Nai branch of Viettel and Dong Nai Agriculture Service Cooperative Alliance (DonaCoop) to celebrate the 70th founding anniversary of the district-based War Zone D as well as to response the “Following President Ho Chi Minh’s moral example” campaign.
