| The first prize of the photo contest |
After 4 months of deliberations, the jury selected 1,190 photos submitted by 148 of the 1,235 participants. The winning photos vividly reflect the activities of medical personnel in various fields, such as scientific and technical application, high-tech handover, and so on.
At the event, the organizing panel awarded the first prize, worth VND 15 million, to the photo "Hope" by Nguyen The Thiem from the Quang Ninh Provincial Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital. Two second prizes, worth VND 10 million each, were awarded to the photos "Taking care of premature children" by Huynh Nam Dong from Da Nang City and "Giving children 0-5 years old polio vaccines to prevent diseases during the 2012 national vaccination campaign" by Pham Quoc Hung from Tan Phu town's Medical Station in Tan Phu district, Dong Nai province.
The organizers also awarded three third prizes, five consolation prizes, and one prize voted by the audience.
