(ĐN)- People in the southern province of Dong Nai will have a chance to see cherry blossoms at the first Hanami festival to be held at the provincial Conference Center on April 23-24.
About 70 cherry trees and 5,000 blossom branches from Japan will be displayed at the festival.
Festival activities will include the opening ceremony, Vietnam-Japan cultural exchanges, Japanese martial arts performances and cartoon shows, art programmes by Vietnamese and Japanese artists as well as an exhibition introducing images and people of the two countries.
In the framework of the event, the Vietnam –Japan trade and tourism promotion seminar will be held with the participation of more than 60 enterprises from both countries.
After the festival, the cherry trees will be planted at Tran Bien Temple of Literature and Buu Long Tourist Area.
