This year’s festival brought together more than 1,000 athletes and extras, representing for 36 ethnic minority groups from across the province.
During the four-day festival, athletes and extras will participate in sporting events, food and drink contest, art performances as well as beauty contest for ethnic minority people. This is the first time the organizing board of the festival has held a beauty pageant for local ethnic minority people.

The event, which is jointly organized by the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Department of Culture Sports and Tourism, aims to improve the health and spiritual life of ethnic minority people, promote traditional cultural values and enhance solidarity among the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
