Writing contest on Tran Bien Temple of Literature held

(ĐN)- The organizing board of the writing contest entitled "Tran Bien Temple of Literature- Cultural and educational tradition of Southern land" said that the contest has attracted over 3,000 writings from students, youth members in Dong Nai and other provinces.

(ĐN)- The organizing board of the writing contest entitled “Tran Bien Temple of Literature- Cultural and educational tradition of Southern land” said that the contest has attracted over 3,000 writings from students, youth members in Dong Nai and other provinces.

The organizers will award one first prize, two second prizes, three third prizes and 10 consolation prizes to the winning entries as well as one prize for a collective that has most writings to participate in the contest.

The award ceremony will be held at the 2016 Spring Newspaper Festival at Tran Bien Temple of Literature.

Tran Bien Temple of Literature, built in 1715 under King Nguyen Phuc Chu, was the first temple of its kind in the South. It is a place to honor Confucius and also serves as an educational center.

Nestled near Buu Long Cultural Park, about 3 kilometers from the center of Bien Hoa City, the temple is emerging as a peaceful and silent space, with curved domes and majestic rooms under the shade of green trees standing in harmony with the surroundings.
