(ĐN)- The 2015 National Sports Festival for Students with Disabilities officially opened in Can Tho city this morning.
The festival which lasts through December 8 draws the participation of more than 500 athletes from 19 cities and provinces across the country, competing in 6 event categories including track and field, chess, football, tug of war, badminton and table tennis.
Dong Nai team are taking part in the festival with 40 athletes. Last festival, Dong Nai ranked 6th with 6 gold, 9 silver and 11 bronze medals.
Also at the festival, students with disabilities will also join “Connecting compassionate hands” exchange and receive 300 scholarships worth each VND2.5 million.
