The foreign athletes come from 10 countries and territories: Japan, the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong (China), Taiwan (China), Laos, Thailand, Singapore, Cambodia, Canada and Switzerland.
Host Vietnam sends four teams to the two-day tourney.
The martial artists are set to show their judo techniques through the Nage No Kata and Juno Kata performances and 16 combat events on different weight divisions for males and females.
Notably, competitions will be held for visually impaired participants from Vietnam the Republic of Korea, Hong Kong, India and Thailand.
The first day saw competitions in the Nage No Kata and Juno Kata performances and the qualifiers of the combat events.
Nguyen Ngoc Son and Dang Trung Hieu from the Vietnamese team of Ho Chi Minh City secured the gold medal in the Nage No Kata event. Meanwhile, the team only ranked third in the Juno Kata, following Thailand and Laos.
