Vietnam have made an impressive run to the 2015 AFF U-19 football final. |
The red-colour team deployed attacks right from the start and promptly went ahead two minutes into the match thanks to Manh Di’s opener, which was also the only goal scored in the first half.
Vietnam had their advantage doubled six minutes after the break, with Duc Chinh sneaking past a Lao player before rifling an unstoppable strike towards Laos’ goal.
Chinh went on to make it 3-0 for Vietnam one minute before the hour mark, favoured by Lam Thuan’s passing efforts from the right wing.
In the 83rd minute, Duc Chinh continued showing his excellent scoring skill heading home Thanh Hau’s pass to seal an overall 4-0 win for U-19 Vietnam.
This is the third consecutive year U-19 Vietnam have made the final of the regional championship and the fifth time in the tournament’s history. The team however, were crowned champions just once in 2007 after beating U-19 Malaysia on the home field.
The decisive match against Thailand on September 4 will be a good chance for Vietnam to avenge their loss in the title match four years ago in Myanmar.
