The match is a six-pointer for both teams as the battle to avoid relegation.
Dong Nai and HAGL are currently propping up the table with 17 points after 22 matches.
However, newly appointed coach Nguyen Quoc Tuan dismissed Phuong's absence.
"I'm not worried because Moussa Sanogo will return from suspension. Hoang Thanh Tung, Le Trung Hieu and Tran Minh Vuong can all play in Phuong's position, and will get a chance to prove themselves," said Tuan.
