The five-day tournament, which is co-organized by the General Department of Sports and Physical Training, the Vietnam Paralympic Association and Dong Nai provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracts 822 athletes from 31 provinces and cities nationwide, competing for 860 sets of medals in seven games.
The annual event offers a good opportunity for people with disabilities to exchange experiences. It also aims to help them find meaning in life, encourage them to practice sports to improve their health as well as select and train Vietnamese athletes with physical disabilities for the Asian Paragames in Singapore this December and World Paragames in Brazil in September next year.
