1. Hanoi T&T record first V-League win against Song Lam Nghe An
Despite being known as the most successful football team in Vietnam over the past five years, Hanoi T&T had never overcome Song Lam Nghe An during their 13 previous V-League meetings. It was not until August 9, 2015 that the T&T team fulfilled their long-standing dream thanks to an impressive comeback by Samson, who scored the solitary goal to secure the capital’s team a historic triumph and lift them back to the race for this year’s title.
2. Race for title gets fiercer
The title race is getting fiercer and fiercer between leaders Becamex Binh Duong and runners-up FLC Thanh Hoa, as the two teams both bagged three full points in the 20th round of play, maintaining their score gap at just a single point.
