During the swimming competition, Dong Nai swimmers won two gold, three silver and three bronze medals to place fifth. In detail, Nguyen Ngoc Huynh won two gold and two silver medals, Nguyen Thi Ngoc Yen also took one silver and three bronze medals.
The event drew the participation of 99 swimmers from 15 teams across the country, competing for 42 sets of medals.
HCM city won 25 gold, 14 silver and 8 bronze medals ranks top at the competition. Long An came in second with six gold, five silver and ten bronze medals, followed by Quang Ninh, which bagged three gold, three silver and one bronze medals.
Earlier, athletes from HCM City won the diving events at the National Swimming and Diving Championships, which concluded March 26 in Hue City.
