(ĐN)- In the evening of March 21, a solemn ceremony was held to celebrate the 300th founding anniversary of Tran Bien Temple of Literature.
The event was attended by Former State President Nguyen Minh Triet, Secretary of Dong Nai provincial Party Committee Tran Dinh Thanh, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai of the provincial People's Committee, Deputy Secretary of the provincial Party Committee Phan Thi My Thanh and Chairman Vy Van Vu of the provincial Fatherland Front Committee.
At the ceremony, the leaders, distinguished guests and students offered incense to commemorate to President Ho Chi Minh and other national heroes at the temple.
After the incense offering ritual, Chairman Dinh Quoc Thai delivered his speech to recall the traditions of the 300th founding anniversary of Tran Bien Temple of Literature.
Also at the ceremony, those who made contributions for the cause of cultural and development of Tran Bien Temple of Literature were honored and art performances to recall 300th founding anniversary of Tran Bien Temple of Literature were also performed to mark the significant event.
Tran Bien Temple of Literature, built in 1715 under King Nguyen Phuc Chu, was the first temple of its kind in the South. It is a place to honor Confucius and also serves as an educational center.
Nestled near Buu Long Cultural Park, about 3 kilometers from the center of Bien Hoa City, the temple is emerging as a peaceful and silent space, with curved domes and majestic rooms under the shade of green trees standing in harmony with the surroundings.
