(ĐN)- Dong Nai came second in the men’s 10km team event of the 16th Cross-country Running Tournament in celebration the 2015 New Year in Binh Duong province on January 1.

Military team went first in this event while Khanh Hoa ranked third. In the women’s 5km event, Khanh Hoa came first, followed by Ninh Thuan and Binh Phuoc.
The annual event, held by Binh Duong Television (BTV) and Binh Duong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, attracted nearly 12,000 athletes from 20 provinces and cities nationwide.
The professional athletes competed over distances between five and ten kilometres for both men and women. Additionally, runners included provincial leaders, pupils, students, workers and old people.
The tournament also aims to promote the sport movement in society and encourages people to improve their physical health following the great example of Uncle Ho.
