Bodybuilder Ton Hoang Khanh Lan won a gold medal in the women’s 49kg weight class while her teammate Nguyen Thanh Tuan was crowned men’s 65kg champion. The third gold medal went to Ton Hoang Khanh Lan-Nguyen Doan Phong in the mixed doubles 49kg category.

In addition, other bodybuilders from Dong Nai also earned two silver medals in this contest. Today, December 2, the athletes are competing for medals in the categories of 70kg, 75kg, and 80kg for men; 52kg and above 52kg for women; 52kg and above 52kg for mixed doubles; and fitness.
The event attracted 12 teams nationwide, competing in men's and women's singles, and mixed doubles categories.
As of December 1, Dong Nai has won 3 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze medals at the National Sports Games.
Also on December 1, the National Sports Games' canoeing and rowing event began in Hai Phong city, attracting about 200 athletes from 19 provinces and cities nationwide to compete in 200m, 500m and 1,000m categories.
Vovinam event also starts today in Nam Dinh province. The event, which takes place from December 2-7, draws the participation of 33 teams from across the country vying for 28 sets of medals.
