(ĐN)- The closing ceremony of the 7th Dong Nai provincial Sports Festival was held on October 29 at the province’s Conference Center.
Taking place from October 2013 to September 2014, the festival attracted more than 2,500 athletes from 14 delegations across the province, competing in 22 games.

At the end of the festival, Bien Hoa ranked first with 63 gold, 45 silver and 62 broze medals, followed by Trang Bom with 44 gold, 41 silver and 51 bronze medals while Vinh Cuu came third with 43 gold, 41 silver and 33 bronze medals.
Addressing at the ceremony, Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of the provincial People’s Committee, who is also Head of the Steering Committee for the 7th provincial Sports Festival, highly praised the organizing activities of the festival, and asked the sports sector to spare no efforts for the preparations of the upcoming 7th National Sports Festival which will be held in Nam Dinh province

He also suggested the localities to continue promoting the movements of playing sports among local people as well as conducting the campaign of following Ho Chi Minh’s good physical training habit.
At the event, the organizing board awarded flags to three best delegations namely Bien Hoa, Trang Bom and Vinh Cuu, and Dinh Quan- the best delegation among the mountainous localities.

On this occasion, the provincial People’s Committee awarded certificates of merit to 49 collectives and 86 individuals, while other 33 collectives and 69 individuals received certificates of merit from the provincial Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism for their contributions in organizing the festival.
