Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of the provincial People’s Committee and Deputy Head of Commission for Communications and Education Dang Manh Trung welcomed and congratulated the team.
This year's contest saw top performances from Vietnam, Japan and Indonesia. Vietnam also overcame Hong Kong, Bangladesh, Egypt and Indonesia to set up a finals clash with Japan.
This is the fifth time the team has represented Vietnam at an international contest and claimed prizes.
Vice Chairman praised efforts made by the robocon team and pledged that the province would organize a ceremony to honor and commend them.
