At the contest, 92 special dishes made by professional chefs form Binh Duong, Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Binh Phuoc, Binh Thuan and Tay Ninh province were introduced. As a result, two first prizes were awarded to The Grand Ho Tram Strip in Ba Ria-Vung Tau province and Poshanu Resort in Binh Thuan province. Meanwhile, four out of six second prizes were presented to Dong Nai-based units including Golden Lotus Conference and Wedding Center, Thao Ngoan Restaurant, Tran Bien Temple of Literature Center, and Bizen Company.
The wining teams will compete in the semi-final round. The final round will take place in December in Binh Duong with the total prizes of over VND3 billion.
The competition, jointly organised by the General Department of Tourism, Vietnam Chamber of Commerce and Industry under the sponsorship of Binh Duong-based Minh Long I Company, aims to honour professional chefs who have conducted research about nutrition and introduced Vietnamese specialties and healthy dishes to tourists.
