(ĐN)- The second Culture-Sports Festival for Ethnic Minorities in Tan Phu district was held on May 7.
The annual event attracted more than 200 athletes from 17 ethnic minority groups participating in many activities such as marathon, football, stick pushing, archery, tug-of-war, earthenware pot breaking, and folk songs and dances.
The event aims to improve the health and spiritual life of ethnic minority people, promote traditional cultural values and enhance solidarity among the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
It also provides a chance to select the best athletes for the district's team to compete at the provincial Culture-Sports Festival for Ethnic Minorities.
