(ĐN)- The second Dong Nai Culture-Sports Festival for Ethnic Minorities opened yesterday evening at Xuan Loc district’s Culture and Sports Center with the attendance of Vice Chairman Nguyen Thanh Tri of provincial People's Committee.

This year’s festival brought together more than 1,000 athletes, extras and artists from 18 ethnic groups across the province.
During the four-day festival, athletes will compete in a variety of sporting events, including football, volleyball, cross-country running, stick pushing, crossbow shooting, tug of war, stilt walking, etc.
They also took part in art performances and cuisine culture exchange.
The event, which is jointly organized by the provincial Committee for Ethnic Minorities and Department of Culture Sports and Tourism, aims to improve the health and spiritual life of ethnic minority people, promote traditional cultural values and enhance solidarity among the community of Vietnamese ethnic groups.
