Entitled ‘Legend of a Trail’, the event aims to mark the 55th anniversary of Ho Chi Minh Trail and the 60th anniversary of Dien Bien Phu Vicstory,
During the programme, the decision to recognise the Truong Son – Ho Chi Minh Trail as a special national relic was announced.
The trail runs through the provinces of Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien Hue, Quang Nam, Kon Tum, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Dak Nong and Binh Phuoc. It served the supply of weapons, goods and food from the north to the south during the country’s resistance war against America.
Later, the art troupes will perform and large posters will be displayed in the provinces through which the trial runs.
As part of festival, a mobile publicity programme under the theme ‘Coming to Dien Bien’ will begin in Hanoi on March 7, passing through Hoa Binh, Son La, Yen Bai, Lai Chua and Lao Cai provinces, before ending in Dien Bien on March 12.
The festival aims not only to serve the people but also to foster the feelings and virtue of generations of artists and publicists.
