Real Madrid Foundation (RMF) academy project manager Manuel Pareno Rogriguez is visiting Vietnam to examine the possibility of establishing a football academy in Hanoi.

Rogriguez arrived in Hanoi on February 19 and was scheduled to meet Vietnam Professional Football JSC (VPF) leaders on the opening of a short-term training course and an introduction of Real Madrid’s training model to local young football stars.

The course will help Real Madrid better understand Vietnam, its people and especially their passion for football so that the RMF plans to set up Real Madrid Castilla – a football academy in Hanoi.

VPF has worked hard in recent times to promote football cooperation between Vietnam and the rest of the world. Currently its football academy is cooperating with Ajax Amsterdam of the Netherlands to train young talents.

Following the success of Hoang Anh Gia Lai Arsenal JMG football academy, VPF expects to kick-start their project with Real Madrid early next year.
