(ĐN)- On February 17, Choro ethnic people held Sayangva Festival in Long Khanh town's Hang Gon commune to welcome the new rice.

(ĐN)- On February 17, Choro ethnic people held Sayangva Festival in Long Khanh town’s Hang Gon commune to welcome the new rice.

"Welcome the New Rice" Festival takes place annually between 1st and 2nd month of Lunar calendar, the harvest of the new rice. It is reserved to pay homage to Giang (Heaven) and the spirits, which protect the villagers and bless them with a bumper harvest, clement weather and a peaceful life.

During the festival, many performances and games were organized such as: drums and gongs performances, folk games, traditional music performances and worship Giang and the spirits.

The same kind of this festival will be held in other communes in the town including Bao Quang, Bao Vinh and Bau Tram.
