Thailand maintained its top position with 98 golds, followed by host Myanmar with 76 golds.

Kempo artist Do Hong Ngoc opened the last competition day of the Vietnamese team at the Games with a gold after defeating her Myanmar rival in the women’s 48 kg combat category.

Also in this sports, Le Duong Lan Phuong and Tran Thi My Duyen brought home another gold in the women’s team performance event.

Failing to surpass host Myanmar in the final of the women’s Kempo 51 kg category, Nguyen Thi Duong pocketed a silver.

The same day, Taekwondo artist Nguyen Trong Cuong knocked out his Cambodian contender in the first round of the men’s 87 kg category, earning the third gold of the day for Vietnam .

However, his teammate, Dinh Quang Duc, was defeated by a Philippine competitor and received a silver medal.

On December 20, both Futsal men’s and women’s teams were awarded silvers after losing 1-8 and 0-5, respectively, to Thai players.

Vietnam’s women football team on the same day also failed to win the crown at this Games as it lost 1-2 to Thailand in the final.
