The Vietnamese national football squad's 167.13 points has pushed it 14 positions higher in the latest FIFA rankings, placed third in Southeast Asia.

The Vietnamese national football squad’s 167.13 points has pushed it 14 positions higher in the latest FIFA rankings, placed third in Southeast Asia.

    The Philippines are leading Southeast Asia with 219 points, followed by Myanmar with 204 points.

    The rating declines of Hong Kong, Thailand, Kyrgyzstan, and Antigua assisted with Vietnam’s ladder climb.

     

    FIFA lists Spain as the world’s best team with 1507 points, followed by Germany (1318), Argentina (1251), Colombia (1200), Portugal (1172), Uruguay (1132), Italy (1120), and Switzerland (1113).

    Spain was also FIFA’s 2013 “Football Team of the Year”.

    Despite recent victories, Vietnam’s female football team’s ranking remains unchanged, placed first in Southeast Asia, sixth in Asia, and 28th in the world.
