The biannual event attracted nearly 500 athletes from 21 ethnic minority groups in 15 southern provinces and cities competing in seven sports for both men and women, including football, volleyball, marathon, tug-and-war, archery, stick pushing, and running on stilts.
Besides, Dong Nai along with Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Kon Tum and Ninh Thuan were awarded emulation recognition flags for their excellent performance at the event.
The event aims to promote physical training, uphold traditional values and strengthen solidarity among ethnic minority groups in the southern region.
The ninth tournament will be held in Kon Tum province.
