The qualifiers is taking place in four groups in HCM city, Ha Noi, Da Nang and Kien Giang.
The teams in each group will play round robin matches. The top-placed team of each group and two second-placed teams of the four groups with the most points will advance to the final round contest which will take place from September 26 till October 6 in Hai Phong city.
Dong Nai U.21 team is playing in Group C including hosts HCM city, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh and TDC Binh Duong.
In the first matches yesterday, Dong Nai earned the first 1-0 win against Binh Phuoc , after a score from Nguyen Van Son at the 15th minute while the hosts HCM city defeated Tay Ninh by 7-0 to top the group C.
