(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s artist Pham Cong Hoang received prize A for his outstanding work at the opening ceremony of the 18th Southeast Region Fine Arts Exhibition, which was opened on August 11 in Ba Ria – Vung Tau province.
The exhibition displays 210 works by 194 artists from Fine Arts Associations in the provinces of Lam Dong, Dak Nong, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Dong Nai, Binh Phuoc, Binh Duong and Tay Ninh.
Exhibits include paintings, graphic works, sculptures and installations in various materials such as oil paint, lacquer, silk, wood carving, water-colour, stone and bronze.
Works feature the image of Vietnam’s landscapes and people in working and their daily lives as well as the country’s seas and islands.
The annual exhibition, which is scheduled through August 20, is held to coincide with the 68th anniversary of the August Revolution (August 19) and Vietnamese National Day (September 2) and celebrate the 56th anniversary of the Vietnam Fine Arts Association (December 10).
