Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the profile to submit to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for recognition of Cat Tien archaeological site for special national relic status.

Lam Dong Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism is completing the profile to submit to the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism for recognition of Cat Tien archaeological site for special national relic status.

If recognized as a special national relic, Cat Tien archaeological site together with Cat Tien National Park will be the foundation for a profile for recognition as a world natural and cultural heritage.

Discovered in 1985, Cat Tien archaeological site is situated along the Da Duong and Dong Nai river system. It includes many hills and alluvial ground along the river, surrounded by mountains.

All the relics are from Quang Ngai commune to Duc Pho commune. However, many archaeological remains are in Quang Ngai commune in the mountainous district of Cat Tien, Lam Dong province.
