(ĐN)- In the marathon program "Pole To Pole: Vietnam", Australian athlete Pat Farmer and his partner, Mai Nguyen Dinh Huy arrived in Dong Nai province’s Trang Bom district on Monday afternoon after their 63 km-run along Highway 1 from Xuan Loc district’s Xuan Tam commune to Trang Bom district’s Trung Hoa commune.

On this occasion, his delegation presented 20 scholarships and 2 gifts to local studious poor students and heroic Vietnamese mothers.
Tuesday morning, Pat Farmer and his companion starts the 31st day of the run, with the road from Trang Bom to Ho Chi Minh city.
Pat Farmer, an ultra-marathon athlete, motivational speaker, and former Australian politician and his partner, Mai Nguyen Dinh Huy, a new BA graduate from an Australian university, have started their 3,000 km run across the length of Vietnam through 30 provinces and cities from Mong Cai Town in the northern province of Quang Ninh to Ca Mau Province at the southern-most tip of Vietnam.
The Australian is undertaking the ultra marathon run across the length of Vietnam to raise funds for clean water projects for the underprivileged in Vietnam..
