An installation art exhibition featuring the meaningless and cruel of war themed ‘The Walls’ by Vietnamese artist Le Huy Hoang will open at the Goethe Institute in Hanoi from December 15-January 7.
Hoang said his project was inspired by the massacre of Cambodians, his relatives and other Vietnamese families during the Khmer Rouge genocide regime.
However, during studies he discovered painful sufferings in many other places around the world and decided to go ahead with his project.
In mankind’s history many similar walls were made not only of steel and concrete but also of social prejudice, discrimination and ignorance.
