Viet Nam men's national football team will play two friendly matches in preparation for the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) Cup from November 24 to December 1 in Thailand.
In the first match, Viet Nam will compete against Malaysia on Saturday at My Dinh National Stadium.
In September, the squad beat Malaysia 2-0 at Shah Alam Stadium in Kuala Lumpur.
Viet Nam will then leave for Nha Trang City to play against Brazil's Gremio Barueri FC on November 15.
The club has also been invited to take part in the Binh Duong Television Cup from November 16-25 at Go Dau Stadium in the southern province of Binh Duong.
Viet Nam drew with South Korea's U23 team on Sunday to finish third in the Viet Nam Football Federation Cup held in HCM City.
At present, Vietnamese players are training at the national youth football training centre in Ha Noi.
Speaking after practice yesterday, Oct 30, coach Phan Thanh Hung said: "We realised the team's problems after the VFF Cup. Young footballers such as Nguyen Gia Tu and Pham Nguyen Sa need more experience. I hope we overcome our difficulties before the AFF Cup."
