Dong Nai placed 11th at VN Athletics Championships

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s athletics team won one gold and three silver medals to end up in eleventh place at the 2012 Vietnam National Athletics Championships, which closed on October 9 at My Dinh national stadium in Hanoi.

(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s athletics team won one gold and three silver medals to end up in eleventh place at the 2012 Vietnam National Athletics Championships, which closed on October 9 at My Dinh national stadium in Hanoi.

This year’s competition saw four new national records.

The military team has claimed the top position with eight golds, four silvers and two bronzes.

The host team, Hanoi, is in second place with six golds, six silvers and seven bronzes. It was followed by Nam Dinh team with four golds, nine silvers and four bronzes.

The five-day event, the country’s biggest annual athletics tournament, attracted the participation of 416 athletes from 42 teams nationwide. It provided an opportunity for local athletes to sharpen their skills to compete in the regional and international sports events.
