The Promotion Fund for Vietnamese Football Talents (PVF) U13 team will represent Vietnam at the 2012 Jubilo Cup in Japan from August 22-28.
Under head coach Nguyen Huu Dang, the team clinched the championship title at the National Junior Football Championships (Yamaha Cup 2012), easily topping group D in the tournament, which consisted of Hai Duong, Thanh Hoa and Dong Thap.
PVF then thrashed strong opponents Khanh Hoa in the quarter-finals, Hanoi in the semi-finals and gave an impressive performance to beat arch rival Viettel in the final match.
The Jubilo Cup, jointly held by Yamaha, the Shizouka Prefecture Football Association, and Jubilo Iwata FC, aims to strengthen sports and cultural exchanges and boost friendship among junior football clubs in the Asia-Pacific region.
