Head of Dong Nai Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi (L) honors young people for their contributions to the tour.

The tour, called Hanh Trinh Kham Pha Bien Hoa (A Journey to Discover Bien Hoa), visits beautiful landscapes and historical sites in the city located 32 km northeast of HCM City, lying along the Dong Nai River.

One of the many sites they tour includes the Nguyen Huu Canh Temple that worships the man who founded and developed the city. They also visit entertainment areas like the Buu Long Amusement Park as well as industrial parks.

The six four-member teams also took part in outdoor activities to learn about the city's culture and history. In one activity, they looked for letters hidden at the sites and had to answer them to continue the tour.

Also on the itinerary was the popular site Tran Bien Temple of Literature, built in the late 17th century to honour people who had made great achievements, and Cu Lao Pho (Pho Islet), the first administrative area of the city.

Lu Le Dang Khoa, a Bien Hoa Fans member, said he understood more about the city that he loves. The trip ends August 26.
