(ĐN)- The first Southern Region TV Documentary Film festival closed in Dong Nai province on May 25, presenting prizes for 29 best works.

The three-day event attracted 60 entries from 32 radio and television stations in the Southern and Northern region and three permanent agencies of Vietnam Television in HCMC, Da Nang and Can Tho.
During the festival, seminars on 'Improving the Quality of Documentary Film on Television Network' and 'Digital Television – Opportunities and Challenges for Local Radio and Television Stations' and an exhibition on broadcasting equipment were also be held.
Speaking at the closing ceremony, Deputy-Minister of Information and Communication Do Quy Doan said that the festival offered an opportunity for film makers and producers to meet and exchange experiences, which will support the quality of TV documentary films.
The second Southern Region TV Documentary Film festival will be organized in 2013 by Lam Dong Radio and Television Station.
