Dong Nai hosts first TV documentary film fest

(ĐN)- The first Southern Region TV Documentary Film Festival was kicked off in Dong Nai province on May 23.

(ĐN)- The first Southern Region TV Documentary Film Festival was kicked off in Dong Nai province on May 23.

The three-day festival is being held in Bien Hoa City's Buu Long Tourist Park by the Dong Nai Radio and Television (DNRTV) and its partners.

Opening ceremony of first Southern Region TV Documentary Film Fest

Deputy-Minister of Information and Communication Do Quy Doan, Head of Dong Nai Department of Propaganda and Training Huynh Van Toi, and Vice Chairman of People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Tri attended the opening ceremony of the festival.

Speaking at the ceremony, Deputy-Minister Do Quy Doan praised efforts made by the DNRTV to organize the festival. He hoped that the festival would create opportunities for documentary filmmakers to exchange experiences on making quality TV documentaries.  

The event has attracted filmmakers from 35 TV and radio stations in the region. It is themed: "Viet Nam and its people in the process of renewal and integration to the world."

Seminars on the development of regional documentary films will be organized during the festival.
