Photos and objects featuring “quan ho” (love duet singing), a unique folk music popular in Vietnam’s northern province of Bac Ninh, will be displayed at an exhibition at the Vietnam Cultural Centre in France from January 22.

The month-long exhibition forms part of a programme co-organised by the Vietnam Institute of Culture and Arts, the Vietnam Cultural Centre in France and the provincial Departments of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Bac Ninh and Bac Giang provinces, in an effort to promote the folk music in France.

The programme also includes film screening and presentations on the culture of “quan ho”, which has been recognised by UNESCO as the intangible cultural heritage.

On this occasion, the two “quan ho” troupes will go on tours of Paris and several cities in France.
