(ĐN)- 124 Vietnamese athletes will compete at the sixth ASEAN Para Games, the biggest Asian sporting event for disabled athletes, which will take place in Surakarta City, Indonesia, from Dec. 12-22.
They will compete in six categories including swimming, athletics, table tennis, chess, badminton and weightlifting in the hope of being one of the top three.
Weightlifter Pham Tong Trong from Dong Nai province, who broke the national record to win the gold medal after lifting 158 kg, is expected to finish with a 160 kg lift in his attempt to bag a medal for Vietnam at the sixth ASEAN Para Games.
