(ĐN)- Dong Nai’s delegation of disabled athletes led by Deputy Director of Department of Education and Training Nguyen Thiep came to Thai Binh province on December 3 to attend the 4th National Sports Festival for Disabled Students scheduled to be held from Dec 7-14.
The seven-day event attracts the participation of 600 athletes from 16 provinces and cities nationwide. The participants will compete in athletics, chess, mini-soccer, tug of war, badminton and table-tennis.
The festival is designed for disabled students aged under 16. It will enable the disadvantaged students nationwide to share experience and better integrate into the community.
The best athletes will be selected for domestic and international sports tournaments.
At the 3rd tournament was held in the Dak Lak in 2009, Dong Nai’s delegation with 41 athletes won 3 golds, 3 silvers and 4 bronzes.
