(ĐN)- More than 1,000 athletes selected from ten thousands of pupils from primary and secondary schools across Long Thanh district are taking part in the Phu Dong Sport Festival that the opening ceremony took place on Nov 26 in the district’s stadium.
The participants compete in many sport activities such as football, table tennis, volleyball, badminton, swimming, chess, tug of war, athletics and others.
The festival will last till December 2.
At the same day, Xuan Loc district held an opening ceremony of the Phu Dong Sport Festival. The event attracted the participation of 1,360 athletes from 51 primary and junior high schools across the district.
The festival is the largest cultural and sporting event for the pupils as well as outstanding athletes from the municipal education and training departments. This is also an excellent chance for them to pick the players for the national sport festival.
