Top Vietnamese badminton player Nguyen Tien Minh was beaten in his semi-final match of the Chinese Taipei Open against world No.45 Tanongsak Saensomboonsuk from Thailand.
After being behind by 9 points in the first set, the Thai player worked hard to equalize the score and won 21-18. He then proceeded to easily thrash his Vietnamese rival 21-12 in the second set.
A year ago Minh also ended the Chinese Taipei Open at the semi-finals when he lost to Indonesia’s Simon Santoso 2-0.
