(ĐN)- The 19th Photographic Exhibition on Southeastern Region and its people opened in Binh Duong province on Friday morning.
The exhibition showcases 153 selected photos from 1,810 works of 267 photographers from eight southeastern provinces: Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Binh Phuoc, Tay Ninh, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Lam Dong, Binh Thuan and Ninh Thuan, Binh Duong province that submited to a contest focusing on Southeastern Region and its people. Out of a total of 1,810 photos submitted, 262 entries came from Dong Nai’s 43 photographers.
The event was jointly held by the Literature and Art Association and the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Binh Duong province and the Vietnam Artistic Photographers Association.
Photographer Tran Tuy from Binh Thuan won the gold medal for his photo entitled “Khuc dong ca” (A country song). Two silver medals were awarded to a photo entitled “Cuoc thi luot van buom” (Windsurf Contest) taken by Huynh Hiep from Binh Thuan and one “Tinh dan quan” (relationship between the soldiers and local people) by Do Huu Tuan from Binh Thuan. In addition, four bronze medals and six consolidation prizes were given out. Among the four receivers of bronze medals was photographer Bui Viet Dong from Dong Nai.
Binh Thuan bagged the first prize for team while the second prize for team was presented to Ninh Thuan.
