Nguyen Phuong Anh, a 18-year-old student from Hungary, was crowned Miss Vietnam in Europe 2011 after outperforming 21 other beauties in the final round held in Berlin, Germany, on August 6.
The first and second runners-up were Le Hoang Thao Nhi from Germany, and Vo Hong Quan from France, respectively.
The competition’s final featured Ao Dai (Vietnamese traditional long dress), swimsuit and evening gown performances and question-answer round.
Vietnamese Ambassador to Germany Do Hoa Binh, and Miss Vietnam in Europe 2009 and runner-up of Miss Vietnam World in 2010 Nguyen Ngoc Kieu Khanh, joined a large audience at the event.
The beauty pageant, the third of its kind, was co-organised by the “Our Common House” association and Vietnamese organisations in Germany.
