Sports festival of police force closes

(ĐN)- The 2011 provincial sports festival for police force ended on Monday afternoon at the Dong Nai Police Department. The event aimed to mark the 66th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force and the 49th anniversary of the People’s Police Force.

(ĐN)- The 2011 provincial sports festival for police force ended on Monday afternoon at the Dong Nai Police Department. The event aimed to mark the 66th anniversary of the People's Public Security Force and the 49th anniversary of the People’s Police Force.
 

The seven-day event saw the participation of around 2,000 athletes from 42 police units across the province, competing in seven categorries including volleyball, wrestling, track and field, table-tennis, shooting, tug of war and cross-country running.

A total of 84 prizes were handed out at the closing ceremony of the festival. Team from Xuan Loc district took the first prize while teams from Bien Hoa city and  the PC65 police unit won the second and third place respectively. In addition, team from Trang Bom got the consoliation prize.

 

The winning teams at the 2011 provincial sports festival for police force will qualify for the national sports festival for the force which will take place in August.
