Cattry wins national off-road race

(ĐN)- Pierre Yves Cattry from the Locust club of District 3, HCM City, won the first national off-road motor race over the weekend. The race was organized at the Vuon Xoai ecological tourist site in Bien Hoa city by the Federation of Motor Sports and Cycling of Viet Nam in cooperation with Dong Nai Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism.

Pierre Yves Cattry from Locust Club wins first national off-road race

The event attracted 36 racers from 9 clubs in Ha Noi, HCM City, Tien Giang, Dong Nai, Vung Tau and Binh Thuan. The participants also included 10 foreign racers who are working and living in Vietnam.

Racers completed four laps around a 2ha ground, meeting international standards.
 
In the amateur event, Vo Duy Thien of Binh Thuan took the lead.
 
Off-road motor racing is very new in Viet Nam, nevertheless this high-risk sport has already attracted many young people.
