The Dong Nai City People's Committee and MobiFone Telecommunications Corporation (MobiFone) on June 5 signed a cooperation agreement on digital transformation for the 2026–2030 period.

The signing ceremony was attended by Nguyen Van Ut, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee (CPC) and Chairman of the Dong Nai People's Committee; Le Truong Son, Member of the CPC’s Standing Board and Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee; along with other members of the CPC’s Standing Board and representatives of relevant departments and agencies.
Representing MobiFone were Major General Truong Son Lam, Chairman of MobiFone, along with leaders of affiliated units and representatives of MobiFone Dong Nai.

At the event, leaders of the Department of Science and Technology (DoST) presented a summary of the cooperation agreement on digital transformation between the Dong Nai People's Committee and MobiFone for the 2026–2030 period.

Under the agreement, the two sides will leverage their respective strengths and resources to accelerate digital transformation and deliver broader benefits to society. Cooperation will focus on key areas, including digital government development, digital infrastructure, the digital economy and digital society, as well as sector-specific applications integrated with artificial intelligence (AI). The partnership is also expected to support the implementation of Resolution No. 57-NQ/TW while helping the city tackle major development challenges through advances in science and technology, innovation and digital transformation.

At the signing ceremony, MobiFone leaders reaffirmed their commitment to accompanying Dong Nai throughout its digital transformation journey. The corporation pledged to share resources, expertise and advanced technology platforms while working closely with local authorities to develop and implement practical solutions and roadmaps aimed at building a modern, transparent and efficient governance environment.

Speaking at the ceremony, Chairman Nguyen Van Ut expressed his expectation that MobiFone would strengthen coordination and cooperation with the city's departments, agencies and relevant units in promoting comprehensive and synchronized digital transformation initiatives. He also emphasized the importance of developing the three pillars of digital government, digital economy and digital society in the context of Dong Nai's new development phase following its establishment as Vietnam’s seventh city.

The DoST has been assigned as the focal agency to coordinate implementation, monitor progress and develop detailed plans to ensure the cooperation agreement delivers practical and effective results in line with the city’s development needs.
