According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, the Consumer Price Index (CPI) in the city increased by 0.93% in April 2026 compared to the previous month. In the first four months of 2026, the average CPI rose 4.14% year-on-year.
Nine categories of goods and services saw their price indexes rise in April 2026. Among them, the housing, electricity, water, fuel and construction materials group recorded the highest increase, at 3.64%.
The rise was mainly due to higher prices for energy products and construction materials, in line with global price movements, as well as growing domestic construction demand. In addition, the apparel, headwear and footwear group and the food and catering services group also posted fairly high increases in their price indexes. By contrast, the transportation and information and communications groups were the two categories of goods and services whose price indexes declined in April.
