Over 291ha urban area plan on Hiep Hoa islet approved

Dong Nai Provincial People’s Committee has issued Decision No. 789/QD-UBND dated March 3, 2026, approving the 1/500 detailed urban planning scheme for the Hiep Hoa urban area in Tran Bien ward, Dong Nai province.

Under the plan, the Hiep Hoa urban area project will cover more than 291 hectares. It is envisioned as a new mixed-service urban complex with low construction density, designed to be modern, well-organized, and harmonized with the natural landscape. At the same time, the project aims to develop a sustainable tourism destination, integrating various types of housing, including residential areas with combined commercial and service functions serving tourism, eco-villas, and public service facilities. These components will be arranged in a balanced manner to ensure vibrant activities both day and night. A bustling commercial street is also planned to meet residential needs while supporting business, service, and accommodation activities, thereby promoting the local economy through trade, tourism, and service development.

According to the decision, of the total planned area of more than 291 hectares, over 68 hectares will be allocated for residential land, accounting for more than 23 percent of the total area. The remaining land will be designated for social infrastructure facilities, service and tourism works, specialized green spaces, transport infrastructure, parking areas, technical infrastructure, and canal and water surface systems.

The Hiep Hoa urban area project is considered one of the province’s key projects, expected to create breakthroughs in socio-economic development. The project site is strategically located in the center of Bien Hoa city, along the Dong Nai River. Once completed, the urban area is expected to combine traditional and modern values, helping shape a new image for Cu Lao Pho and serving as a symbolic landmark in Bien Hoa’s urban landscape.

The Hiep Hoa urban area project has a total investment of more than VND72.2 trillion. The project is divided into six phases, with an implementation period of 12 years from the date the investment policy approval is granted.
