According to the Dong Nai Statistics Office, in the first two months of 2026, Dong Nai’s key economic indicators continued to maintain a relatively high growth rate.

Enterprises across the province have stepped up efforts to seek and expand markets in order to create new growth momentum. As a result, the province’s Index of Industrial Production (IIP) in the first two months of the year is estimated to have risen by 13.85% compared to the same period last year.

February 2026 coincided with the Lunar New Year of the Horse, leading to a surge in consumer demand, particularly for food, confectionery, beverages and garments. This seasonal boost contributed to a 20.76% year-on-year increase in total retail sales of goods and consumer service revenue in the first two months of the year.

Meanwhile, revenue from passenger and freight transport services continued its upward trajectory. Passenger transport revenue was estimated at over 1.4 trillion VND, up 14.54% compared to the same period in 2025, while freight transport revenue increased by 17.97% year-on-year.
